Welcome to this article, where we are going to see how the KuCoin NFT Marketplace works and how you can use it in the best possible way.
At this moment, the KuCoin NFT Marketplace is under development and we do not find as many functionalities as other NFT marketplaces like Binance or Opensea. However, it is possible that in the near future we will have it operational and with many different collections.
At the moment, it works more like an IGO (Initial game offering). Which is like a token launch, but instead of tokens, they are collections of NFT’s of games that you can access before anyone else.
If the KuCoin NFT Marketplace is updated in the future, this guide will be updated with new sections and functionalities. With that said, let’s take a look at what’s out there.
Windvane
The first thing we find if we go to the top of the KuCoin and NFT menu, is Windvane. This platform is external to KuCoin but collaborates with the platform to integrate the NFT’s that appear on this platform.
It is a more decentralised platform that can be used with the KuCoin network and a wallet such as metamask. If you don’t have this network configured, you can see a guide on how to do it here. Although the KuCoin network is the main network, you will also be able to use the Ethereum network and BSC on this platform. So we are likely to see new collections on each network, beyond the KuCoin network. Â
At the moment, windvane does not have many features that can be used. It doesn’t have a Marketplace yet with different NFT’s and no new releases to mine or to buy NFT’s. So you can log in to see where it is at the moment, but currently there is not much to do. So you can log in to see what state it’s in, but currently we can’t find much to do.
Wonderland
Now if we go to wonderland, in this case we will continue inside KuCoin. Here, we will be able to see the new collections and releases of new games that are in collaboration with KuCoin.
Some of them have already launched their NFT’s and we will be able to buy them or we will have to wait for them to be on sale. In other cases, we will be able to see new games that have not yet launched their NFT’s and request the whitlist or the list to be able to buy some of these NFT’s at their launch.
If we scroll down you can see the different games that are currently with KuCoin and are more recent. With very interesting information that I recommend you to check if you want to invest in any of these releases, such as the participants, the sales volume in dollars, and the amount of NFT’s that were created from that collection. This can give you an estimate of what a future launch of another collection might look like.
In order to participate in this type of launch, we must go to the bottom of the page and click on apply for IGO. Here, fill in the Google form and once our information is reviewed, we will have access to this part of KuCoin.
The operation is very similar to the launches of new cryptocurrencies, which many platforms require prior registration to be able to estimate how the launch will be and the number of users who want to participate. So I recommend you to fill in the form to have access to these IGOs if you want to participate in any of them.
At the moment there is no Marketplace within KuCoin to exchange these NFT’s, and we will have to use other platforms where the NFT’s of the collection in question are listed and can be exchanged. As in the case of CEBG, the nft’s are found in mojitoswap. Most collections will be on the KuCoin network.
