How Katana Works

The first thing you will need is a Ronin wallet to be able to interact with the platform. If you already have it, click on the top right on connect and confirm in your wallet and you will have it connected.

The next step is to deposit funds in our Ronin wallet, to be able to exchange them for another in Katana. To do this there are two options, use the Ronin bridge, where you can send your ethereum cryptocurrencies to Ronin, or directly from an Exchange like Binance that allows Ronin withdrawal, withdraw the cryptocurrencies directly to your wallet.

If it is the first time you do it, remember to send weth, as it is the token you will need to pay for the transactions. In the case of using binance, once you have purchased weth, go to wallet and spot wallet and search for weth. Click on withdraw or withdraw and you will see all the information you need to enter to withdraw your WETH. Copy your Ronin wallet address and paste it into binance and enter the Ronin network.

Swap

With the cryptocurrencies in your wallet, let’s see the main part, the swap. The operation is very similar to other platforms such as pancakeswap or uniswap, so if you have already used them, you will have no problem.

At the top you indicate the token you want to use and below the token you want to get. For example above weth and below AXS. Indicate the amount you want to exchange and you will see the amount you will receive from the other token.

In the wheel above you can adjust the slipping tolerance, although it is usually set to 0.50% and you don’t really need to change it. You can also lower the time where the transaction is cancelled if it is not completed.

With the tokens and the amount indicated, click on swap. Confirm in your wallet and you are done. You will now have the other token in your wallet. You will see that the commission or gas fee you will pay is really low, especially if you compare it with uniswap where you would pay 50-100$ or more in gas fee. The swap will allow you to move from weth to AXS or SLP, and once you have played and generated SLP, you can move it to WETH or USDC if you are looking for something more stable and with less price fluctuation.

Remember to always leave an amount of weth for commissions and not to exchange all your weth for another token, or you will not be able to pay the network commissions when using the wallet.

Pool and Farm

In pools and farms you will be able to provide liquidity and create AXS/WETH and SLP/WETH LP Tokens and stake it in farms. You will be able to see the % that you will receive in each LP and the amount that is distributed daily among all the people who contribute liquidity in Katana.

In Pool, click on add liquidity and you must indicate the same amount of the LP Token you are interested in farming, either AXS and WETH or SLP and WETH. Enter the same amount, click on add liquidity and confirm in your wallet. With this you will be able to provide liquidity and receive an annual % for it.

Finally, in analytics, you can find all the information about the katana platform. Aspects such as liquidity, number of transactions or commissions that have been generated in the last 24 hours. Very useful information if you want to buy katana with OTHER similar DEXs.
