How to STAKING with Gate.io | Earn money with your cryptocurrencies

The staking part of gate.io is found in Finance, where you will see several options. We are not going to review each one, but the ones that can be most useful and work best.

Hodl & Earn

The first one we found is HODL & Earn. Here you can do cryptocurrency staking by subscribing to the one you are most interested in. It is blocked staking, which means that during those days that it indicates, whether 7 days, 14 days or longer, you will not be able to move the cryptocurrencies if you want to receive the reward.

In underway you will see the options that are available right now, the truth is that there are not many but if there is a cryptocurrency that you are interested in keeping for a while, it is an interesting option. Here you will see the cryptocurrency you must have, the annual % in P.A, and the days you must have the cryptocurrencies blocked. Click on the one you are interested in to see more information.

Once you click you will see more information such as the daily interest, the time remaining to finish, and in some cases the minimum required to participate, which you will find if you scroll down further. Once you want to participate, indicate the amount you want to use and have blocked for that period of time, and click on subscribe. If you go down more you will be able to see all the information about this blocked staking.

Once subscribed, when the indicated days have passed, you will receive again your cryptocurrencies plus the % indicated in the same cryptocurrency.

Periodic investment plan, it is not a staking option, but it is something interesting that we are going to see quickly. Here, you can create an investment plan so that every day or certain time you can automatically buy a cryptocurrency. It is a way to distribute your investment in a safer way by not buying all at once, and buy a little every day, without having to do it manually. If you are interested in investing in a cryptocurrency and do not buy at a bad time, the best alternative is to buy a certain amount every day. This way you will buy when it is high and also when it falls in price. And you will avoid buying before a big fall. You will also find information about investment plans of other users and the annual return they have had.

Crypto Lending

We continue with crypto lending. As its name says, here you can lend your cryptocurrencies in exchange for a % for a period of 10 days. It is a different way of generating money that is not staking. On the side, you will also see the interest that other people have indicated. So if you want to be competitive, you should put the same interest and not higher, or maybe they will not borrow your cryptocurrencies. Once you select the cryptocurrency store you are interested in lending, you must indicate the amount, higher than the minimum, the % you charge per day, and the duration that cannot be modified. Click on market interest rate if you want to indicate the current market interest rate and click on ok. With this, you will have your cryptocurrencies in the market to be lent and generate interest.

Yield Farming

In Yield Farming, you will be able to staking lp tokens. If you do not know what lp tokens and impermanent loss are, I will leave you a video so you can know the possible risks. It is a way of staking with a little more risk because of the possible impermament loss, but it also has much higher returns, assuming this risk. Although it only has 3 pairs for staking, which are bitcoin ethereum, ethereum usdt and sushi and ethereum. In each one, you will see a graph with the information of the impermanent loss and the return it is generating every day. To participate in it, you will have to select the pair you are most interested in, and have an equal amount of the two cryptocurrencies. If we take ethereum and USDT, to make staking we will need to have 50$ of ethereum and 50 usdt that we will have to place. Always to create a lp token, the proportion in Dollars has to be the same, where 50% of each cryptocurrency is placed. Accept the conditions and press add to. They also have a limit of 7 days, so every 7 days, you will have to come back to see if the same farming continues and you can continue to generate a high percentage with your cryptocurrencies.

Lending and Yield Farming

Lending and yield farming is the most interesting part of all.  Where you will be able to staking only one cryptocurrency, in a flexible way. Here you look for the cryptocurrency you are interested in using, and that you will be able to withdraw at any time with the % it has generated in that time. There are quite a few cryptocurrencies that you will see 0% because they do not have the staking option in gate.io at the moment. The % you are going to see is in 7 days, so if you want to know what annual percentage it has, you will simply have to multiply it. Here you simply select the cryptocurrency you want, indicate the amount exceeding the minimum you will see below, click on the box below, and add to. With this, you will have your cryptocurrencies generating more without having to do anything. For me, this option is the best of all as you only have one cryptocurrency and you can withdraw it whenever you want.
