Welcome to this post, where we are going to see how you can withdraw Klaytn to your wallet and use it in any exchange or DEFI platform.
For this, we will use Binance and Metamask, Binance is the most used exchange and the one I personally use, but the operation is the same or very similar in other exchanges you may use. If you want to follow the step by step guide, you can create an account with binance just below.
Metamask is one of the most used wallets, and you can use the Klaytn network without problems. Also if you use another wallet with the Klaytn network, you should not have any problems and the operation is the same. We will also see how you can set up this network in metamask if you have not already done so and you can see the tokens you deposit.
From Binance to Metamask on Klaytn
If you already have KLAY purchased in your Binance account, the next step is to withdraw it to your wallet. To do this, we will go on the computer to wallet and spot wallet. If you are using your cell phone, search for the KLAY cryptocurrency and click on withdraw or withdraw.
On the computer, in the spot wallet, search for KLAY, and click withdraw. Now you will see the panel to withdraw the cryptocurrency. Here, we must open our metamask, and click on the top, under the name, where it will copy the address of our wallet. With the copied address, we go back to Binance and paste it where it says address.
We continue with Network, where we will indicate the Klaytn network, if you want to use Klaytn on its own network and on Klaytn’s DEFI platforms. If you want to use Klaytn on the Binance Smart chain or another network, withdrawals to networks other than its own are currently not available.
Above all, make sure that you indicate the correct network to avoid confusion. With the network, you only need to indicate the amount you want to withdraw. In the case of the Klaytn network, the withdrawal fee is 0.005 KLAY.
With the information confirmed, you just need to click on withdraw, confirm the confirmation codes and after a few minutes, you should see your KLAY in your wallet.
So, if you click on the networks above, the Klaytn network will appear. Click on it, and it should show the Klaytn you have sent through Binance.
Setting up Klaytn in Metamask
If it doesn’t appear, check that you have the Klaytn network configured in your Metamask wallet. If not, go to the top right, and click on settings. Click on networks and add network.
Copy the following information:
- Network Name: Klaytn Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://public-node-api.klaytnapi.com/v1/cypress
- ChainID: 8217
- Symbol: KLAY
- Explorer: https://scope.klaytn.com
So, if you click on the networks above, you will see the Klaytn or cypress network which is the same network. Click on it, and it should show the Klaytn you have sent through Binance.
This way, you can have your KLAYs on the Klaytn network to be able to use all the DEFI applications and platforms such as Wonderland, among many others. I hope this has helped you to withdraw your KLAYs without losing them along the way. Remember that if you don’t have an account with binance, you can create one just below.
