How to buy Raydium (RAY) securely

In this post, where we are going to see how you can buy Raydium in an easy, simple and fast way. Without complications, so you can be the owner in a few minutes of this cryptocurrency.

Where to buy Raydium

For this, I’m going to use two platforms, Binance and gate.io, where you can find all the links below. You can see below a step by step video on how to do it. If not, you will also find a step by step in this article so you won’t get lost at any time. If you don’t have an account you can create one by clicking below.

Step by Step

Raydium is found in few exchanges, and you can also use Uniswap, although you will find high ethereum commissions to buy it ranging from $50 to $300 for just buying the cryptocurrency. Therefore, the best option is to use the centralized Exchange gate.io that has this cryptocurrency listed.

The first thing we have to do is to deposit funds in our gate.io account. In order to have funds in gate.io, the best option is to send them from another Exchange, since the platform does not have the option to buy cryptocurrencies with credit card or wire transfer. For this, I am going to use binance, and I am going to send tether (USDT), since it is the cryptocurrency we are going to need to buy Raydium.

In my case, I already have USDT in my binance account, if you don’t know how to buy it, I’ll leave a video below so you can see it. With the usdt, we go to wallet, spot wallet and click withdraw.

Now we must go to gate.io, and go to deposit. Here, we click on the tron/TRC-20 network, as it has the lowest commissions and only costs one dollar commission. Copy the address and paste it into binance. Once in binance, enter the address, the tron network, trc-20 and the amount to withdraw the usdt. We confirm with our email and cell phone, and that’s it. Remember to indicate the trc-20 network to save on commissions and not have any problems.

At this point, you must wait for the USDT to appear in your gate.io balance, it usually takes a few minutes until you have it ready to use. Once they appear, go to my funds, search for usdt or tether and click on trade.

You will see the panel to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, here, look for RAY, and you will see the pair RAY/usdt. We go down and indicate the amount we want to buy Raydium. Here, if you want to use all your usdt, just click on the number above and the total will be placed. At the top of Price you will see the current price of the cryptocurrency. With the amount indicated, just click on the buy button.

Now, you will be the owner of Raydium, and to check it, you can go again to my funds to see the amount you have. Once you want to sell it, we must return to the same panel above, but this time we will go to the red sell button. We indicate the amount we want to sell, and click on sell. This way, you can have USDT again and send it to binance to withdraw it to your bank account.

What is Raydium?

Raydium is an automated market maker (AMM) built on the Solana blockchain that leverages Serum’s decentralized exchange central order book (DEX) to enable lightning-fast trading, shared liquidity and new features to gain performance.

Why is Raydium different?

Other AMM DEXs and DeFi protocols can only access liquidity within their own pools and do not have access to a central order book. In addition, with most platforms running on Ethereum, transactions are slow and gas rates are high.

Raydium offers some key advantages:

  • Faster and cheaper: We leverage the efficiency of the Solana blockchain to achieve magnitudes faster transactions than Ethereum and gas rates that are a fraction of the cost.
  • One central order book for ecosystem-wide liquidity: Raydium provides on-chain liquidity to Serum’s DEX central limit order book, meaning that Raydium enables access to order flow and liquidity across the Serum ecosystem.
  • Trading Interface: For traders who want to be able to view TradingView charts, set limit orders and have more control over their trades.

What can I do in Raydium?

  • Operating and exchanging
  • Raydium’s exchange feature allows two tokens to be exchanged quickly through Serum, while the DEX user interface also enables more advanced trading features, such as limit orders. This makes for a better trading experience for users.

Earning RAY

There are several ways to earn RAY tokens while growing liquidity pools and placing bets – more features are on the way!

A blockchain order book driving DeFi’s evolution.

Legacy blockchains are not ready for DeFi.

While DeFi holds a huge opportunity, it is severely limited by outdated blockchains.

DeFi transactions are expensive

In a short time, we’ve seen gas fees jump to a level that completely annihilates potential gains. Slow transactions exacerbate this, as users bid up the price of gas, and failed transactions multiply losses. As interaction with DeFi becomes prohibitively expensive, we again see ordinary users falling behind.

Market fragmentation.

The nature of automated market makers (AMMs) on Ethereum means that liquidity is fragmented, and liquidity pools in one protocol are walled off from those of others. Without a central order book to aggregate the groups, competition from automated market makers for liquidity is intense and users do not benefit from the liquidity of other platforms. This will also be true for shard-based blockchains such as eth2 and Polkadot.

Features are limited

Many trading features considered standard on centralized exchanges, such as limit orders, are difficult to implement efficiently on Ethereum DEXs due to slow transactions and prohibitively high gas fees.

The vision of a new industry standard.

In DeFi Summer 2020, Serum launched a decentralized exchange with an on-chain order book. This order book was built on Solana, a high-speed blockchain with extremely low transaction costs. This new paradigm presented a huge opportunity to solve DeFi’s biggest problems by building a fast and efficient AMM that could leverage Serum’s existing order flow, as well as supply liquidity from its own pools to the rest of the ecosystem.

Raydium aims to be the solution to the problems of AMMs on Ethereum. By building on Solana and using the Solana blockchain, which has faster and cheaper transactions, users will be able to trade WMAs without being locked out due to ridiculous fees. Raydium solves the liquidity problem by using a central Serum order book, and even provides a trading interface, for traders who want to set limit orders and view trading charts. This gives users greater control over their trading.

With this in mind, our team set to work and Raydium was born.

The Raydium Protocol: An Ecosystem that Supports the AMM

Unlike other AMM platforms, Raydium provides on-chain liquidity to a central limit order book, meaning that Raydium users and liquidity groups have access to the order flow and liquidity of the entire Serum ecosystem, and vice versa. All of this is enhanced by building Solana, an incredibly fast and efficient blockchain.

Raydium currently uses the constant function K = Y*X. This equation has the special property that it is stateless and given any two tokens, without any information about their relative prices or values, can provide “infinite” liquidity to traders. Raydium uses this equation and prices orders in the order book according to the Fibonacci sequence to provide up to 20 orders at a variety of prices with spreads as small as 20bps between them. This is an optimized solution for fitting exchange instructions into a single Solana transaction. In the future, it is expected that other liquidity provision models will be employed to take advantage of oracles and increased liquidity usage.

In addition, liquidity providers will be able to generate rewards from swap fees for contributing. Key pools will be incentivized with RAY tokens as farming rewards. Projects that want to reward users for providing liquidity can also add additional reward tokens. When new projects are launched, they can use Raydium to create a new trading marketplace and provide immediate liquidity to it. In this way, projects can go live and give traders the opportunity to buy effortlessly.

The basic tokenomics of RAY are explained below:

555 million RAY hard cap.
RAY’s total mining pool consists of 34% of all tokens, or 188.7 million RAY
Issuances will last approximately 36 months, with halvenings every six months
0.03% of the trading fees will be awarded to RAY betters
Additional information on issuance schedules and rewards will be available shortly.
