Welcome to this post, where we are going to see which of the two wallets is better and you should use to store your cryptocurrencies in the most secure way on the Ethereum network.
If you are looking for the Mist wallet and you can’t find it, there is a reason. It is no longer available, and its team has stopped working on it as you can read in the statement below.
UPDATE 22 March 2019: This wallet has stopped working. In an announcement with the headline “Sunsetting Mist”, Alex can de Sande wrote the following message to Mist’s followers:
“Personally it seems like yesterday, but I have been working on Mist for more than four years. While I’m proud of all the achievements we’ve made in this time advancing Ethereum usability and sharing a vision for web3, we feel that Mist, the browser has outlived its usefulness: the ecosystem has matured so much that now the user has tons of great wallet and browser options on both mobile and desktop.”
As you can see, mist wallet is not accessible and therefore, you should not use this wallet. As there is no team behind it and you might lose all the funds you send in your mist wallet.
Therefore, I recommend you to use Metamask, the best wallet for the Ethereum network and Ethereum compatible networks. If you want to learn how to get started with Metamask, you can find here a guide to know the most relevant aspects of this wallet.
I hope I have solved your doubts about Mist Wallet. If you don’t have an account with Binance, you can create one just below.
