Welcome to this guide, where we are going to see how to configure the Oasis network to Metamask by following the steps in this guide.
Oasis is a network based on security and collaboration to track different services. This network also has EVM (Ethereum virtual machine) compatibility, which makes it easier to use and has compatibility with a wallet like metamask. And so, we will be able to use this network with metamask, with the configuration that we will see below, with two different ways to do it.
The first way to add the network, is to open your wallet, and go to the top right hand side. Click there, and go to settings or configuration. Networks, and click on add network. Here, copy the following information:
- Network Name: OasisChain Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://rpc1.oasischain.io
- Chain ID: 26863
- Currency Symbol: OAC
- Block Explorer URL: https://scan.oasischain.io
With the information added, click on save and that’s it. You can now select the network at the top of the screen from all the networks you have added.
The other way is through chainlist.org. This platform allows you to add different networks directly without having to do it as we have seen before. To do this, the first step is to connect our wallet on the top right.
Here you should use the search engine to find the network you want to add, Oasis. Click on add to metamask, and the metamask wallet will open with the information to add the network. Click on approve and that’s it. In this simple way, you will be able to have the Oasis network added in a very simple way, and without having to enter the data yourself.
Deposit Funds into Oasis Chain
Once you have the oasis network set up, the next step to be able to use it is to send ROSE, the native token of the network and that we will use to pay the gas fee of the transactions.
To do this, my recommendation is to use binance to buy Oasis (ROSE) and once you have it, send it directly to your metamask wallet. This way, you will be able to have ROSE in your metamask to use the different applications that are in this network.
You can also use other platforms that allow you to buy ROSE and withdraw it from the platform. But always make sure that you can withdraw it using the Oasis network and not another one, or else you will not be able to withdraw your ROSE to your metamask wallet.
