How to Send Ethereum from KuCoin to Metamask

Welcome to this guide, where we are going to see step by step how to send your Ethereum from kucoin to metamask without getting lost in any step.

We are going to show you step by step how you can move your Ethereum from kucoin to metamask to its own network. In case you want to send Ethereum to another network, you can also follow this tutorial, just changing the network. The other steps are the same. But most likely you will want to send your ETH to the etheruem network, and this is what we are going to see.

First, though, let’s mention that we’re not going to cover how to buy Ethereum on kucoin, and we’re going to focus directly on how to withdraw it. To find out how to buy and sell on kucoin, you can consult this guide.

Sending ETH to Metamask

With the Ethereum in our wallet, from the main panel we will click on withdraw in the top right corner from the computer. In the mobile app, you will also see a button to withdraw from assets, in the bottom right hand side.

Now we will be in the kucoin withdrawal panel, and we must select the cryptocurrency we want to withdraw, in this case ETH. To do this, click on select cryptocurrency and look for ETH to select it.

With ETh indicated, the next thing we will need is the address where to send the ETH. This is the address of our metamask wallet. To do this, we will open metamask and click above under the name to copy the address. In case you are using kucoin on your mobile, you can click on the 3 dots and account details to scan the qr and have the address copied without having to pass it between devices.

With the copied address go back to kucoin and paste it in wallet address under the ETH cryptocurrency. With your mobile phone, click on the qr symbol and scan the metamask qr. You will see how it detects the address.

Further down we will indicate the network, in this case the Ethereum network. In each network you can see the fee charged for withdrawing from that network. In the case of the Ethereum network (ERC20) it is the most expensive network. In case you want to withdraw Ethereum to another network, simply select that network here instead of the etheruem network (ERC20), such as optimism, polygon, arbitrum or any other.

With the indicated network, in this case we indicate the Ethereum network (ERC20), the only thing left is the amount. Here, indicate the amount with a minimum currently of 0.01 ETH. Although this minimum may vary.

Always bear in mind that the amount you indicate is not the amount you will receive, as you must take into account the withdrawal fee. And in the case of the Ethereum network, as it is higher than others, it is important to consider this to avoid surprises.

With all this in mind, review all the information and click on withdraw. Confirm with the confirmation codes and you will have Ethereum on its way to your metamask wallet.

How long does it take?

The time it usually takes will depend on when you make the withdrawal and if there are a lot of transactions or movement on the Ethereum network. It usually takes between 10-20 minutes. But don’t be surprised that at specific times it can take hours. Either because of the Ethereum network, or because kucoin has many pending withdrawals. Sometimes it is because of the network, due to congestion and high usage. Other cases are the platforms themselves taking longer to process withdrawals, because they have many pending withdrawals.

When is it cheaper to withdraw?

The withdrawal fee depends entirely on the network, and by bad luck the Ethereum network is the most expensive to transact on. Therefore, the withdrawal cost or fee is closely linked to the cost of making a transaction on the Ethereum network. I recommend you look for times when there are fewer people using this network, and surely the commission will be cheaper.

I hope this has helped you to learn how to withdraw Ethereum to your metamask wallet from kucoin. Remember that if you don’t have an account with binance, you can create one just below.
