How to buy WAX (WAXP) securely

With your cryptocurrencies purchased, the best way to check that they are in your account is to go to Assets, and Main Account.

Transfer your cryptos to an Altcoin Exchange

You can make a deposit of a cryptocurrency, in this case USDT. Simply copy your adress in your other platform where you have USDT, and click on transfer. This will save you from having to buy USDT or another cryptocurrency with your credit card or bank transfer and save on handling fees, depending on the form of deposit you make. 

The best way is to buy USDT on Binance with your credit card, with only a 1.8% commission, and send the USDT you bought on Binance to KuCoin.

If you want to buy or deposit euros, dollars or other currency in KuCoin, the commissions to pay by credit card and have it instantly are somewhat high, so if you want to buy WAX without incurring higher commissions, use Binance to deposit your currency, in my case euros, go to the EUR/USDT pair and buy USDT.

With USDT, go to wallet, search for USDT (Tether) and click on withdraw. Here indicate the KuCoin wallet address of your USDT, and you can have USDT in your KuCoin account paying the lowest commissions. 

This is only possible if you already use another platform and have the cryptocurrency there. If this is not your case, you will have to use the previous way to buy the cryptocurrency. 

To buy WAX, the best option is to buy USDT, but you can also buy Bitcoin. In case you choose Tether, you will have to go to market afterwards and select the WAX/USDT currency. If you have decided to buy Bitcoin, it will simply change the WAX/BTC currency. There is no difference in price nor one is better than the other, it simply depends on the choice of each person which cryptocurrency to buy before with euros dollars or another currency, in order to buy WAX.

In some exchanges they will need more information, which is known as KYC, and it is simply to deliver the documentation they ask for, and it may take a few days to verify your account, since they have to make sure that it is really you. In the case of KuCoin, luckily, KYC is not necessary to make small movements, less than 5 BTC, so if you are not going to move large amounts, you can do so without having to wait for them to approve your KYC.  Although the process is usually straightforward and easy to follow. Once you have it set up, you will have full access to your exchange wallet.

If this is the first time you make a deposit with a wallet, it can be complicated here, but it is actually simple. In the box on the right, you are going to see a string of random numbers that says “USDT address”, this is a unique public address of your Tether wallet, it is the same in case of Bitcoin. This wallet, or wallet, is only with respect to KuCoin. You can see it like when you make a deposit in euros or your currency on any platform. 

Now simply go back to your exchange where you have your cryptocurrencies and you want to transfer them to KuCoin, go to the wallet and click on Bitcoin or Tether in your list of assets, then ‘Send’ on the right.

In the Recipient field, paste the wallet address into your clipboard, for security reasons you should always check if both addresses match. There is some computer malware that has been known to alter the contents of your clipboard to another wallet address and would essentially be sending funds to someone else.

Now click ‘Submit’ to proceed, you are going to receive a confirmation email instantly, click on the confirmation link in the email and your coins are on their way.

Check before you click that your wallet address is correct and there are no errors. It should take a short time, at most a few minutes or less. And see the notification in KuCoin and in the other exchange that you have sent the cryptocurrencies. Now you are ready to buy WAX with your USDT or BTC.

Trading with WAX 

Go to markets, and select USDT if you are using Tether or BTC, in case you are using Bitcoin. Search for WAX or “WAX” in the search engine. 

In the right column there is a search bar, now make sure “BTC” is selected as we are trading BTC to altcoin pair or USDT if you are using Tether. Click on it and type “WAX”, you should see WAX/BTC or WAX/USDT, select that pair and you should see a WAX/BTC price chart in the middle of the page.

Below that is a box with a green button that says “Buy WAX”, inside the box, choose the “Market” tab here as it is the most straightforward type of buy orders. You can type in your amount or choose how much of your BTC deposit you would like to spend on the purchase by clicking on the percentage buttons. When you have confirmed everything, click “Buy WAX”. You already own this cryptocurrency.
