Axie Infinity’s Best Secret Tricks to Earn More

Welcome to this post, where we are going to see the best tricks in Axie Infinity so you can get the most out of your axies and earn more.

We’re going to look at the theory and then an example to apply these tips and tricks that we’ll look at next. So let’s get started.

Know your enemy

Always check your enemy’s cards at the beginning of the fight. To see what abilities he has, so you can know what you can expect your opponent to do. In addition to being able to detect the weak points and what moments it is better to wait.

For example, if they don’t have steel cards, it is better to save energy for later turns.

Know the order

Look at the moves and the order of each move above. This can help you plan your turn better. So you know if your axie is going to attack first or not. As it can help you to see if it is worth spending energy on the move or not.

Speed is what determines the order of who attacks first. But what if the axies have the same speed. The attack will then depend on who has less life points. The one who has less life points will attack first. In case the health points are the same, the next aspect that will decide who attacks first is the skill. The axie with more skill will attack first. If it is also the same, the next thing to look at is morale, the axie with more morale will be the first to attack.

Stand or die

Do you want to know if your axie is going to stand or die? There is a formula to calculate the last stand or stay standing. For this, you have to calculate two numbers. First number= Final hit- Life points remaining. Second number= Life points remaining x Morale/100. Finally, if the number 1 < than the number 2, the character will be left standing. Let’s see an example to make it clearer.

Final hit= 160

Life points remaining= 112

Morale= 61

Number 1= 160-112= 48

Number 2= 112x 61/100= 68,32

48< 68,32, so the axie is going to be left standing.

As you can imagine, calculating this in the game is impossible. But it helps us to know that an axie is more likely to stay standing, when it has a lot of life. So, it is best to try to leave the opponent’s axie with life points as close to 0 as possible before making the last attack to finish him off.

Count the energy

Counting the opponent’s energy is one of the most important aspects in the game to be able to win and be a better player. If we see an example, where each player starts with 3 energy always. For now, remember that your opponent has 3 energy. And now let’s count how much energy he spends. The opponent plays three cards. None of them gives you more energy, and all of them expend energy when used. So it’s a 3-3, the opponent has no energy at the moment.

After each turn ends, both players get two energy. So our opponent in the next turn will have 2 energy to spend on cards. In this turn the enemy does not spend any energy, so in the next turn he will have 4 energy to use.

In this way and doing this every turn, you will be able to control what your opponent can do and can not do, knowing at all times the amount of energy he has.

Calculate the damage

If you have played, you may have noticed that sometimes a card indicates that it does 100 damage and actually when you use it, it does more damage than it indicates. This is for several reasons. The main one is the type of axie it is and what it is facing. Since there are classes that will do 15% more damage, or on the contrary 15% less.

The other aspect, are the other cards that combined, make your axie do more damage. When you play two or more cards in an axie, it gains a combo advantage. With some extra damage you get from playing these cards.

Also, when using cards that are of the same type as the axie, the axie gets 10% more damage bonus. For example, if a beast type axie uses a 100 attack beast type card, it will now do 110 damage. This same aspect also applies to shields.

Finally, all these aspects accumulate on top of each other. So it is possible to gain up to 30% more extra damage if you combine your cards well.

Know the buffs and debuffs

Buffs increase the next attack by 20%. In addition, buffs can be accumulated, so if you accumulate a buff 3 times, let’s say it’s the speed buff, you can gain 60% more attack speed.

For the most common debuffs, we have scent. Any axie with scent is attacked by all of the opponent’s abilities this round, regardless of the position he is in. It makes the axie more attractive to be attacked by the opponent’s axies. Another debuff is chill, the axie cannot be the last one alive. So it will die when its life reaches 0. Jinx, makes your axie unable to complete a critical run, really effective against beast type axies. Poison, your axie loses 2 health points for each accumulated action it does. If you have 4 stacks, when you play a card you will lose 8 life points. Stun, if your axie is stunned, the next attack will always miss. But if the axie is stunned and is attacked, the attack will pass the shield, and attack directly to the axie’s life points.

Axies secret classes

The axies of secret classes are weaker than the common classes. As we find the axie of beast+bug, plant+bird or reptile+aqua. Usually axies receive a 10% bonus when using cards of the same type, but secret classes only receive 7.5% extra damage. On the other hand, you can use two types of cards for each class to get this bonus. For example, in reptile+aqua, if you use a reptile or aqua card, the axie will get 7.5% extra damage.
